One of the facts that discredits Mr Mandelson and Lindsey Oil operators Totals views that the foreign labour are under the same pay and conditions as the highly skilled British tradesmen,
The foreign labour stay on an accommodation barge probably in 2-4 berth rooms, therefore each of the 250 workers will not be in receipt of the £217.35 per week lodge allowance stipulated by the NACEI agreement (Blue book) that the British skilled tradesmen are entitled to under the agreement.
This is only one instance of the terms and conditions being eroded by the foreign labour which in turn is detrimental to the British economy as the lodge allowance is not being put back into the local economy i.e. through guest houses and land lords thus putting them out of business as well!
This blatant lie from Total and Mr Mandelson also casts doubt on their statement that the foreign workers are on the same hourly rate as the skilled British tradesmen!

The whole EU membership scam is rotten to the core.

Where is our referendum ? Which Traitor signed the Lisborn Treaty without the country’s consent? Who are the traitors selling our country and rescorces to the global highest bidders?

Answer: All the Past and Present politicians for over 50 years. Names are irrelevant because if one did not do it, another would. If they did not support it, then they failed to stop it, at risk of loosing their fat salarys and expenses.

Respect to those out on strike BUT:

Strikes in the past have achived very little, The corrupt snout in the trough politicians from all the big 3 parties have conspired to thwart their efforts by any means possible. On the miners strike, force and intimidation was the norm, coupled with a sellout by unions. On the fuel protests, deception, media manipulation, and buying off the unions caused it to fold. At its conclusion new laws were dreamed up to give the government its strike busting powers, maintaining essential supplies with scab labour etc: There is a wealth of info about it all over the internet.

Remember Worker pay Unions, Then Unions pay Liebour Party. Solution stop paying Unions & starve the Liebor party of funds.

Remember also the Police are meant to be servants of the people, not the stasi political police, that the labour party employ them as. Make your own minds up on this, but dont you wonder why when the indiginous population strike or protest they are in force, but hardly to be seen, when people are mugged and robbed by forigners.

This strike, if it goes “National” may be our last chance before we loose all our ancestors fought & in many cases died for.

Britain is mine, and my childrens country, I have traced my ancestors back 12 generations, to 1570, comprising of English, Irish & Scotish blood.

And these Greedy Globalist B@stards want me to give it all up.

Well done, standing up for your rights. Just a shame that is comes with a foul flavour of racism. I do understand the anger and fear regarding Total’s contract policies. But if british jobs should exclusively be for British workers, what would you do about the many non-British people who have worked in and contributed to Britain for years and decades? Are you going to kick us all out? I am a non-British, European professional working in the NHS, if my non-British colleagues and me would go back where we came from, your health system here would crumble. And that is only one example.

It has nothing to do with racism.

I am sick and tired of that old “political spin” that the NHS would collapse without immigration. It ran perfectly well before all the British Nurses were REPLACED by cheaper foreign workers. The NHS is in a state of collapse now, and riddled with superbugs and people dying on never-ending waiting lists, and in corridoors – shall I go on?

You talk utter tripe, Julia! What we need is to pay our own nurses decent wages and train them – NOT IMPORT THEM OR LOOT THEM FROM THE THIRD WORLD – WHERE THEY ARE NEEDED MORE!

it’s not british jobs for british workers i’m after, it’s british people employed first then others when we run out of indiginous labour, can you imagine going to france or germany and telling the locals that there will be no jobs for them julia ? I’ve worked abroad loads of times and it was always the case of last on the job and first paid off when the work ran down and thats what we’re after !! this is OUR country and we need to get this sorted out and if you do not like it GO HOME

ah Julia you seem to be watching too much TV like a lot of people.

lets clear this up.

1. the many people who have worked and contributed to this country over the years mostly do a great job. Know One wants to stop them working.
This country has always had workers from abroad, this is not a new thing.
But when them workers come to this country and take preference over the native people, that’s another matter.
people in this country appreciate the fact that there is need for some foreign workers.
But not this.
This is the rout of the working class in this country.

2. If you and your colleagues were to go back to your home countries tomorrow.
The NHS would not crumble it would get a lot better.
The reason for this is because Tony Blair decided to import 20,000,000 labour voters.
and all the while Gordon brown was cooking labours books.
He did not think to strengthen the infrastructure to cope with this extra demand, so hospitals are jam packed and the prisons are full up,

I hope this information has been useful to you, and you can put yourself in our shoes and remember that, your country would not tolerate this behavior from its leaders. You know its wrong.
We are a very tolerant people,but we are not idiots like are polatitions think we are.

one more thing. My sister is a staff nurse in the NHS. and she keeps me well informed on all the staffing issues in the NHS.

Just watched on Sky News, the “Offer on the table” at Lindsey, of 102 jobs on offer. Workers to vote tomorrow. Looks like a Union recommendation to take it. Problem is if the causes of the dispute are not dealt with & enshrined in law, that is accepted, understood & enforced across the EU, It will continue to happen to others.

I hope the workers at Lindsey see this; they are the pawns of a much larger game. Support for them is rising across the UK. I suspect several other industries, NHS, Haulage, Agriculture & retail will be revising their own situations as to come out in support.

Who is next on the scrapheap?

This issue is about the recruitment of cheap labour, e.g. a recent report of an immigrant worker paid £1.46 per hour for a 48 hour week = £70.08 gross wage.
The Lord of Darkness Mandelson and his sidekick Milliband can pontificate as much as they like for this 3 party gang of swindlers and crooks that control us are attempting to impose a minimum wage not only on British workers but those throughout Europe.
They hide behind the Race Discrimination Act together with the terrorism legislation which they said was to protect us against the Foundation (al Qaeda). It is now obvious with the downturn in the economy and this latest outrage against our construction workers that we are the enemy and together with the Thatcher legislation they are attempting to threaten British people in their own country.
Enough is enough, the message has to be put that united we stand divided we fall which applies today as it did in the past, basically there is only the construction and service industry left in this country so a stand has to be maintained at all cost with or without Union support.

I was just wondering where the 102 skilled British workers were going to be found by Total / Irem, as at the beginning of this they stated that their whole reason for the Italians being brought over to the UK was the lack of skills in the British workforce.
But having been out of work for six months and looking at my house being repossed, the dangle of any carrot always looks good
But please don’t bite it yet, the support behind these protests is huge throughout the UK.

I would vote to stay out the gate until all British people have jobs in our own country!

This half baked idea 50% British 50% Foreign is utter nonsense, It is just a response from the company to try to get us back to work and get on with the job because this disruption is costing them!

So obviously us the skilled tradesmen of Britains united stance is having an impact on the company but it is still not hurting them enough to make them remember!

If we go back now we have acheived nothing and mark my words in the coming months we will all be thrown on the scrap heap once the goverment and companies have re-grouped and disscused other tactics and introduced new laws to serve their corupt globalisation dream!

102 Jobs for UK (read this as ANY, including foreign workers already registered in UK) workers, over a period of 9 Months. The offer will only exclude recruiting directly from abroad. So as an example there would be nothing to stop Total employing 101 Poles & 1 Romanian already working legally in this country. The offer cannot under EU law, employ only indiginous British. It will be interesting to see how many of the strikers actually end up as one of the 102.

Then What?

Nothing, thats what, new laws will be invented to close all posible loopholes they may have missed after the fuel protests. Any future strikes will be met with lockouts and police/army force, dont believe me? Wait & see.

IT WILL BE TOO LATE

We need OUT of the EU and their globalist aims NOW!!!

THE UNIONS are nothing more than Oxygen Thieves. (As well as stealing your money for the Liebor Party).

It’s just as well I watched the immigration scrutiny committee last year to find out that nurse training places in the UK had been cut by 7,000 year on year. Then I did some digging and found a government website advertising jobs in the NHS in the Philppines for nurses. The committee ( Royal College of Nursing ) reported 40% of nurses in the NHS were of overseas origin and I found out most of the indigenous nurses have flown the coop to America, or they are on short hours, in contracts and agencies and the like. Doctors the same. 3 indigenous doctors are out of work for every migrant doctor taken on and there’s no end to it. It’s Labour immigration policy in Brown’s global plan. Take a look at Blair’s globalisation website at Yale University and see what he’s up to. It will blow your mind. Also, search for Strobe Talbott ( Yale University ), and then you’ll see why this is all happening in the UK.

The world is not “global”….only the UK is global. “Global” is in us, we are not into global just everyone is in the UK. ( Are there jobs for Brits by the truck load to anywhere ? – Any British recruitment agencies ( just for British ) anywhere like Polich recruitment here ? – Any adverts for Brits to “come take our jobs” anywhere ? – Nope, nope, nope !

If you give in now, the fight is lost. thousands of supporters are praying that you turn this insulting offer down, 102 jobs will be made available. In other words you can apply for them, which dosnt mean you get them. The whole lot could still go to foreigners.Did anyone see the sickening bbc news coverage, showing one man eagerly handing over his cv? It was patronising and insulting.Keep up this strike, and more and more people are growing confident that this can actually work.Theres a group on facebook with about 45000 people and growing.this issue is a lot bigger than just this strike, it could lead to something massive . i see once again the so called strikers from L.O.R have returned to work..why why why i just dont know.once again the men on these jobs have had a week off then decidered /or was it the union/ again lining there pockets because off abit off snow.why pay your subs to something that dose nt exist when there lapping it up on your money.get rid now befor its to late.name and shame the companys involved with all these money making scams.i was on strike at L.O.R a couple of years back,ballot boxs all the works but still sent down the river (union again) I carnt get work because off , not only foreign labour but the northwest labour. recruitments are to also blame as there bring there own in first..local labour should mean local not travelers.AMEC again taking more polish on.get on strike on the 27.2.09 back the british workers up.

totaly agree with what your saying.. big comanys like AMEC have there own agency run by staff who will and still are employing cheap forgein labour meaning us teeside semi skilled mates and trade men are still out off work.as for the northwest yes there bring there work force to teeside thats all down to the employer again..i have friends who have been BLACKED because there spoke up and management did nt like it,,there didnt and still have nt had a phone call for nearly a year..theres been and still is plenty of work local or away so why are we still not getting jobs.its to late to start a fresh may be in 70 or 80 years time and will this goverment relise then i dont think so.willing to back the strikers 100% lets see the strke happen on the 27th feb..STILL OUT OF WORK,,

yesterday i went down to stratford to go down to the Olympic stadium and protest outside, and ask the question,
“WHY ARE THERE BRITISH WORKERS ON THE DOLE STANDING OUTSIDE THESE GATES AND NEERLY ALL YOUR MANUAL LABOUR IS BEING DONE BY MIGRANT WORKERS”.

unfortunately only a hand full of people turned up. This was very embarrassing for me. but i am not down hearted by it.
It just goes to show that some people really have to lose every thing before they wake up and do something.

All was not lost.
My mate wend town to the job centre at Stratford the day before and asked why they were not advertising for jobs on the biggest construction site in Europe. Someone came and spoke with him and asked him “are you looking for work”.
He then asked the person to answer his question.
They had him thrown out by three foreign security guards.

So after only a small amount of people tuned up for the protest, we decided to go down to the same job centre and ask the same question my mate asked the day before.

only this time they weren’t dealing with a 54 year old man on his own.

They directed us to a job agency round the corner which apparently just deals with the Olympics.

i asked again “why are you not advertising in the job centre”.
I was told that most people there work for the job centre.

Off we go ( no security guards this time) to this agency, we get took down to an office in the basement and get told they only take people on that live in the five local boroughs on the list., the reason for this was they were the five most deprived boroughs in the country.
My mate rightly pointed out that their was nothing local about Albania,Romania,Poland,or any place else outside the UK.

the things he was saying looked like it came off a script anyway.
He even said that because of the recession builders were going to be out of work. but every one knows every building site is full of migrant labour for one reason only and that is CHEAP.
We did not get a start. They could not tell us how many people they had got a start for in the last seven days. and so we left.

on the way back we bumped into a couple of reporters from the sun and they told us they were gathering their own percentages on foreign workers as they were coming out of the gate. i would not speak to him but my friend told him we just wanted a level playing field.

we were all set to strike tomorrow and now suddenly it’s all off and there’s a meeting on 11th march so no action till then !!!! what’s happening from the gmb point of view, anyone know ? There was an item in the local rag called the daily express yesterday espousing the point that when the new forth road bridge gets underway 60% of the steel is going to be pre-fabricated in CHINA and shipped to site. In my experience any steel fabricated in China isn’t worth a toss and has to be totally re-worked to bring it up to scratch !!! Ask AMEC about the FGD sections shipped from China to burntisland for assembly.
