Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

So, just when the management was on the run and the government was panicking, Unite’s clowns go and sell themselves cheaply and their members down the river.

It will be very sad if proud British workers accept a few crumbs and vote in favour of the offer of only half of the jobs that should rightfully go to British workers.

Foreign contractors and foreign workers taking our jobs is not just a problem at Lindsey, but all over the country – that’s why this protest has taken off and been supported nationwide. This is a NATIONAL problem, and that’s why we should all stay out until we get a NATIONAL victory which will give us ALL jobs – and our children too!

If our union negotiators are unwilling to fight for more then there is a simple answer: change them! Let’s get decent representatives who won’t be cowed and will stand up for us properly. Unite admit that the problem is wider than just at Lindsey, but are too stupid to see that it will never be resolved if they allow themselves to be picked off so easily.

Only real unity will solve this problem for good. Let’s all vote NO to this deal and NO to Unite’s clowns that have failed us once again.

  2. Dear Wildcats,
I think the discriminations against Brits which is resulting in less employment, lost of homes, poverty and social division, is plainly obvious for all to see. You only have to ask someone, and they’ll give you a tale about themselves or another who they know having been done out of a job.

I think it extends further than we may imagine it to and I think there are legal grounds enough to seek opinion on this:-

Firstly, most Europeans learn English as their second language. I think it’s somewhere near to 70% of Europeans are able to speak English. Because of this, they have no language barriers or disadvantages, when they choose to move freely to the UK to look for work or are hired by recruiters with “Can you speak English” ?

It isn’t “the same” for Brits. ( We are disadvantaged ).
In order for us to travel to Europe to seek a job, we would in essence need to learn 40 languages to be at the same level of “advantage”. When a recruiter says, “Can you speak, German, French, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian”, and so on and so on.

I think just on this basis, we British are clearly disadvantaged by language. It isn’t “our” fault 70% of people speak English and noone speaks Latvian or Polish or Hungarian or Albanian or Turkish.

WE are at a “DISADVANTAGE” and should be made a “SPECIAL” case, not an EQUAL case for this reason alone, notleast for reason that we simply want to work ( and our children want to work ), and our future generations want to work, in OUR OWN COUNTRY.

I think there is much to seek a legal opinion.
The United Nations Declaration of Universal Human Rights, clearly make the right to family life inalienable to a person, and if your government’s policy says the law and it won’t defend your right to work ( and to raise a family ), and to live with your family, ( because you can go work in Latvia ), then clearly there must be an argument that the British Government’s policy is ILLEGAL.

Add any number of other arguments behind this because you can destroy their ILLEGAL – sick, and “indefensible argument” very easily I would have thought. If you don’t then you will have lost your country, your family life, your culture and everything you can think of which is British, including your homes and your jobs and your children’s future.

Hard as it may be to ‘not work now’, it will be eminently more difficult to not work ever again and to sell your rights away to an uncaring government which seeks to protect Europeans and others before their own people.

I wish you luck, I wish I had somewhere to demonstrate, I wish someone would raise some money and I wish some barrister would give this case the merits it deserves, “for their country and not for money”, and tell the unions and this government to sling THEIR hooks back to Europe !

  4. P.S.

Also, I see no evidence of British recruitment agencies in France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Spain or Italy etc etc etc, “specifically” asking for British Workers for French, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Spanish or Italian jobs, but we DO have these offering foreign nationals jobs in Britain. i.e. Polish, African, Indian etc…….PLUS we have our own government “advertising” British jobs all across the world.

Its true we do not have a level playing field. You can be sure that these debates will never be aired on the BBC or any other big media organisation in this country. Even the current bun is more concerned with what’’s happening with Jade Goody – bless her!!
Its good that interest is building up regarding this national strike on Febuary the 27th. The Black cabs of London have had enough as well – good on you lads.
As for those who voted to go back to work – you can see it from their point of view. You can guarantee that a list of names will be circulated and soon they will find no more work. I have only admiration for them starting the ball rolling – its up to all to make sure it does not stop.Good luck to all…

  8. I think the most important thing is not to let the government try to suppress strikers’ concerns by claiming that they are xenophobic. To do so immediately draws the attention from legitimate concerns about job allocation, the inflexibility of EU law and the way in which it prevents Britain from guaranteeing its own people employment on its own soil, the absolute insanity of a system that allows local men to sit on the Dole (which costs the taxpayers money) while shipping in workers from hundreds of miles away, towards nonsense arguments about so-called ‘Political Correctness’.
The government has tried to make this into an argument about race. It has made it a thought-crime to possess national pride, and that Britishness is the same as the BNP. (Clearly, this is nonsensical: America is a multicultural society, and yet most are proud to be American.) This isn’t a race argument, or even really a cultural one. It is a protest against the absolute insanity of British workers having to go to a JobCentre to demonstrate how they’ve been looking for work when a source of work, which is right on their doorstep, is denied to them.
    Good luck to all protestors.

  12. Lets hope they do VOTE NO.
The part I saw on the tv news stated that NONE of the foreign workers are going to lose their job but 106 jobs are going to be CREATED for British workers.

To me this just says ‘we will buy your co-operation for 106 jobs’

The 106 that get a job will be lucky, the 1000’s that dont can sign on.

    VOTE NO!.

  14. Well at least Unite members can give joint General secretary Derek Simpson his marching orders. He is up for re-election, and not happy at the thought of losing that nice fat pay cheque and grace and favour house in central London.

I urge all Unite members to vote for Kevin Coyne for new General Secretary. Ballot papers should arrive at members homes from 16th Feb onwards.

Lets get rid of the lickspittle Simpson who cares more for his personal perks than his members interests…..VOTE COYNE !

    A COAL MINERS DAUGHTER Reply:

Silly person!! Trading in one fat cat union boss for another will solve nothing. The only difference between these two jokers will be the location of their ‘grace and favour’ mansions. If union members withheld their union dues for one month, watch you lot start dancing to a different tune. Wait till those in the union figure out that very soon they will belong to a pan-european unite union; they have little voice now – once it goes pan-euopran they will have none at all will they?? You are in Labours pockets, you always have been. The workers need to figure out that you still support Labour even though history is going to show that this is the worst government we have ever had to date and Blair/Brown the two most unscrupulous Prime Ministers.

Tell me what you're thinking...
